The Mental Health Association of Reading & Berks County was founded in 1955 to promote mental health education and wellness, as well as provide the area's residents with active advocacy on an individual and system-wide basis.
The Mental Health
Association of Reading and Berks County (MHARBC) has joined
with the National Alliance of Mental Illness
(NAMI) to be the
Greater Reading Mental Health Association (GRMHA)!
"Together in this stronger alliance we can coordinate our
efforts and serve
Berks County better!"
Our Mission Statement:
The Mental Health Association
of Reading and Berks County is dedicated to promoting mental health wellness
and recovery in Berks County through advocacy, education and support.
Our Vision Statement:
We envision a Berks County community in which all people are accorded
dignity, respect, and equal access to mental health services. Families are
connected with services to help children and adults achieve their full
potential, free from the oppression of stigma and prejudice. People with
mental health concerns recover, live safely, have their cultural needs
respected, and become healthy and productive citizens that help build our
community. |
